Biography
I have always enjoyed interacting with people and was intrigued by how each person is so different from the others even though all of us are similar at so many levels. My curiosity for the ways in which human mind functions and its impact on behavior drove me to the Department of Psychology at the Lady Shri Ram College for Women, New Delhi to pursue an Honors degree. Three years were enough to address the curiosity and transform it into love for the subject. My quest continued for another two years which I spent at the Panjab University, Chandigarh to pursue a Masters degree in Psychology. An in-depth program in Human Resources along with several other training, workshops and certificate programs helped further hone my people skills.
Along the way, I also discovered my gift in tarot reading. Tarot cards have been used since time immemorial for various purposes. The deck I use is based on the Zen philosophy and is very introspective and reflective in nature. When reading for a client, it helps me connect to his/her inner voice and facilitates identifying deep rooted patterns in his/her behavior which are obstructive and hence need to be altered. The intensive session guides me in recognizing the source of distress and chalking out an effective course of action for the client.
Additionally, I follow Access Consciousness as a school of thought which, I feel, is a phenomenal way of looking at life, empowering oneself and creating joy. I also like to incorporate the tools and techniques from Access Consciousness to help bring a change in client behavior.
In a nutshell, I bring together my knowledge of psychology, my interpersonal skills as a therapist and my gift of tarot cards in the pursuit of transforming lives for the better.
All you need is willingness to receive.
"If you feel lost, disappointed, hesitant, or weak, return to yourself, to who you are, here and now and when you get there, you will discover yourself, like a lotus flower in full bloom, even in a muddy pond, beautiful and strong."
